In an unspoilt Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Holly Cottage is on the very edge of an attractive village with two cafes, one pub and other excellent eating places close by. There are wonderful walks both short and long from the door and great cycle rides too.
Holly Cottage is an intriguing mixture of a small period cottage and stylish contemporary architect-designed extensions over 3 floors, which creates a property of much character. It sits in a lovely position, nestling on a valley side right at the end of the village of Hagworthingham, close to the ford and is surrounded by beautiful, quiet and unspoiled countryside. There are many lovely walks from the door, both long and short, and the terrain is not the flat landscape that most people believe Lincolnshire to be but is gently or more steeply undulating. The attractive village of Hagworthingham is in the South East corner of the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the far-reaching views are superb. There is a good pub in the village along with two cafes and a farm shop and butchery. This is great walking and cycling country. Access East to the coast is easy and the historic cathedral city of Lincoln is not too far to the West. There is motor racing at Cadwell Park, horse racing at Market Rasen and many interesting aviation heritage museums are to be found in the area. The market towns are characterful and antiques emporiums abound.
I have been involved in farming and hospitality all of my adult life but have recently made a move a few miles away from the farmhouse and farm and am now relishing the challenge of setting up a B&B in a new house and beautiful area. I have made that move along with my Collie dog, two cats and many chickens who all now feel at home in the new area too. I also have a huge love of the natural world, nature conservation, walking and gardening which have been a big part of my life and I thoroughly enjoy sharing these with others so I am looking forward to welcoming people to a happy stay in Holly Cottage for many years to come.
